Here, your leverage is a properly written request to the organisation that actually holds your information, backed by APP 12 and APP 13 and, if ignored, a complaint to the OAIC.

Under the Privacy Act, an APP entity must give you access to the personal information it holds about you (APP 12) and must correct it where it is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete, irrelevant or misleading (APP 13). That duty is on them, not on a middleman.
For an APP 12 access request, an agency generally has 30 days and an organisation a reasonable period — commonly treated as 30 days. Refusals must come with written reasons and the complaint mechanisms available to you.
If an organisation ignores you or refuses without proper reasons, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner. The OAIC expects you to raise it with the organisation first and allow 30 days.
Plain about limits: no one can guarantee deletion. Some information must be retained by law — tax, employment, health and financial records among them — and search engines are not obliged to de-index everything. What a well-made request does is force a considered, documented answer, and build the record you would need for a complaint.
